Update to PEP coverage in Argentina based on Resolution 192/2024

Last updated: April 8, 2026

As part of our commitment to delivering accurate and up-to-date PEP coverage, we have aligned our data with the new national legislation in Argentina, which will likely result in some individuals no longer being designated as PEPs.

Following the implementation of Resolution 192/2024 – which revised and narrowed the definition of PEPs – we are flagging several entities from our platform as removed, in accordance with the updated criteria. This process will take place over a few weeks and may increase removal alerts.

Changes mainly impact officials associated with provincial bodies:

  • Certain provincial bodies are no longer considered relevant under the updated law.

  • In others, only specific roles or positions are excluded from the PEP definition.

This update further streamlines your compliance processes by eliminating the need to remediate results for individuals who are no longer PEPs under Argentine law.
