Profiles marked as False Positive can be muted to prevent any updates for the selected profile from triggering a monitoring alert. This reduces the alert rate from monitoring customers by removing alerts that aren't about your customer.
Pre-requisites:
- The customer must be set to "Monitored."
- The profile must be marked as "False Positive."
To mute a profile:
- Navigate to the profile of the monitored customer you wish to mute.
- Click the "Mute" icon next to the Status field.
- Confirm your choice in the dialog box, opting whether to see future prompts.
This profile has now been muted. Any updates to it will not trigger a monitoring alert for this customer. For more information, see What is Ongoing Monitoring.
Note: If the customer's status changes from "False Positive," the profile will be unmuted automatically.
