This is an important update regarding the sanctions lists you may be subscribing to. If this is the case, in addition to the EU External Action Service Consolidated list of sanctions (Europe-sanctions-list), you will now need to subscribe to the European Union Council Restrictive Measures list.
Why this change?
When the EU External Action Service designates sanctions against entities, that information is usually first published in the EU Journal (available from ComplyAdvantage as “European Union Council Restrictive Measures”), followed up with publication, including details about the entities, in the EU Consolidated list (available from ComplyAdvantage as “EU External Action Service Consolidated”).
Previously, we have taken information from both places where the authority publishes information and made it available to you through a single data source. We are now providing this same information in two separate sources to provide the most timely, accurate information while giving you greater transparency on the provenance of updates.
What you need to do
Please subscribe to the European Union Council Restrictive Measures list in addition to your existing subscription to ensure you continue to receive the most timely and detailed sanctions information. This article explains how to edit your screening configuration.

We understand that subscribing to an additional list may add to your workload. However, this change is designed to ensure you have access to the latest sanctions updates as quickly as possible while still receiving detailed information from the EU External Action Service Consolidated list. By subscribing to both lists, you will be better equipped to manage compliance and mitigate risks effectively.
Release date
This list will be available from September 2, 2024. If you are not screening all our sanctions lists, please add our new sanctions list, the European Union Council Restrictive Measures, to your screening selection.
