To tailor the charts and metrics in the insights dashboard you can apply filters for the date range and frequency.
By default, the filters are set as follows:
- Date range: Last month
- Frequency: Day
Filtering by date range
- Click in the Date Range field on the left. A pop-up opens to edit the time range.
- Select the required values for Range type. There are four options for the range type:
- Last: Returns data for the selected time range including the actual day. If you filter by Last Month, you see data from today back to the same day number last month. If today's date is 18 March, for example, the range shown runs from 18 February to 18 March.
- Previous: Returns data from the previous calendar period. If you filter by Previous calendar month, data for the entire previous calendar month is returned. For example, if today is 18 February, the dashboard will show data for 1 January to 1 February.
- Custom: Allows you to set a custom start and end date for the period that you wish to see data for.
- No filter: Returns all data.
- Select the value you require in Configure Time Range. The time range options depend on the selected range type.
- Click Apply.
- Click Apply filters to update your dashboards with your chosen date range. It also updates the frequency if you have chosen one. We'll explain that next.
- Spinning wheels within the charts show that the dashboard is being updated to return the requested data.
Filtering by frequency
You can use the frequency option to determine if you would like to see charts aggregated by day, week, month, quarter or year.

- Click Apply filters to update your dashboards with your chosen date range and frequency.
- Spinning wheels within the charts show that the dashboard is being updated to return the requested data.
