Video: Review and remediate a monitor case

In this guide, you will learn how to review and remediate a monitor case in Mesh.

 

When logging in to your account, please ensure you select the correct region, which will be one of the following:

1. Introduction

A monitoring case is created when there is new risk identified for any of the customers you are monitoring. For example, if a customer were added to a sanctions list.

2. Click into "Customer monitoring" case

To see the screening results that were returned, click on the monitoring case you'd like to remediate.

3. Review updated monitor case(s).

This example shows a monitoring case with one screening result. The reason for alerting is a changed profile. You can see all previously closed cases on the left hand side.

Before you can make a decision on the case, you have to review the screening results within it and assign a status. For changed profiles where new data has been added, the new data will be highlighted as an "Added" value to the update as shown here.

To help document your investigation of a screening result, you can add and review previous notes. After you select on the profile you'd like to review, click on this comment box icon.

6. A pane will appear with the title "Profile notes."

A pane with the title "Profile notes" will appear on the right. This pane shows all notes added for that screening result, including the user who added the note, and when the note was added.

7. Add your note.

Type your note in the text box at the bottom of the pane. Notes are limited to 1000 characters.

8. Click "Add profile note"

Press "Add profile note" at the bottom of the pane to save your note.

9. Click "Change stage"

Click on "Change stage" if you wish to update where you are in the remediation process.

10. Select Stage

Select the stage that reflects your current position in the decision-making process.

11. Optional: Fill in note.

You can add an optional note in the provided field to explain why you've selected this stage.

You can also choose to get a reminder to change the stage from "Not started" to another stage when starting to remediate alerts here.

Once complete, click "Change stage" to save changes.

Once you've reviewed the changed results, it's time to remediate and select a match status. To do so, select an option from the Status dropdown.

15. Select match status.

Select the match status based on your remediation findings.

16. Click "Decision"

Once all screening results are assigned, you can move on to the case decision by clicking on this "Decision" button.

17. Select Decision

From here, select your decision based on your remediation findings and risk-based approach.

18. Add decision note

Then, fill in the required note to explain why you've made that decision.

Lastly, close the case.
